Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Operations to lead our operations, risk management, and IT strategy. The successful candidate will have a strong background in operations, risk assessment, and IT, with experience in managing teams and leading projects. The Director of Operations will be responsible for overseeing our office facilities, managing our data security, and leading our IT strategy. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to pluralism and building bridges across deep differences.

Responsibilities
  • Lead our operations, risk management, and IT strategy
  • Oversee our office facilities and ensure they are welcoming, safe, and provide all the resources needed for our team members to work successfully
  • Manage our data security and ensure we are protecting our network and security remains a primary consideration in our organizational activities
  • Lead our IT strategy and ensure all employees, in person and remote, have the IT resources they need in their day-to-day work
  • Collaborate with our Senior Director of HR and Operations to identify both paid and pro bono legal services needed for IA as the organization grows in size and in complexity
Requirements
  • 5-8 years of experience leading operations and risk assessment
  • 10+ years of work experience, preference for nonprofit experience
  • Experience with reviewing contracts and working with outside counsel or an MBA or other educational equivalent of experience with contracts
  • Supervisory experience with a focus on support and development of your team
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Authorization to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
  • High level of religious literacy and fluency in diversity, pluralism, and inclusion
  • Strong experience with IP and other contractual matters

Supervisor and Direct Reports

Supervisor: Senior Director of HR and Operations

Direct Reports: Assistant Director of IT, Office Manager

Leadership Level and Location

Leadership level: Director

Location: This position will work 3 days per week from our Chicago Loop office and 2 days per week from home

Compensation and Application

Compensation: $100,000 - $110,000 annually
