Job Overview

Position Title: Purchasing Coordinator

Location: Boston, MA, Hybrid Work Environment

Contract Duration: 10+ Months

Working Hours: 8 AM to 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday (Flexible Hybrid Schedule based on Training)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate the procurement of goods and services in alignment with established purchasing policies and protocols.
  • Draft and organize bid documentation for the acquisition of materials and services.
  • Publish bids on relevant public procurement platforms.
  • Evaluate, analyze, and compile received bids, forwarding them to the relevant department for award recommendations.
  • Prepare necessary documentation for purchase order approvals.
  • Ensure that purchase orders and contract files are thoroughly documented and complete.
  • Provide administrative assistance to the Inventory Purchasing team.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to expedite order fulfillment and maintain Excel tracking files.
  • Undertake additional duties and projects as assigned, including occasional coverage in the Mail Room.
  • Maintain a Hybrid Work Schedule, with three days per week in the office.
Qualifications Required:
  • Experience in procurement or purchasing.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems; experience with Oracle or Peoplesoft is advantageous.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Background in Inventory Management.
