RN Liver Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Liver Transplant Nurse to join our team at the Cleveland Clinic. As a member of our liver transplant team, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and support to individuals and their families undergoing liver transplant surgery.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct nursing care to liver transplant patients, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and performing various medical procedures.
- Implement, monitor, evaluate, update, and revise patient care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care, including communicating with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs, including arranging for post-discharge care and follow-up appointments.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, including explaining treatment options, medications, and post-transplant care.
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- One year of current acute care RN experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
