Job Summary

Forefront Healthcare & Culinary Services is seeking a skilled Floor Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain attractive and clean floors by sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, stripping and refinishing, and burnishing floors on a regular basis.
  • Closely follow daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules to ensure a clean and safe environment.
  • Perform floor cleaning functions in lobbies, dining rooms, waiting rooms, activity areas, and other areas as assigned.
  • Monitor inventory of floor supplies and report any repairs needed to floor equipment to immediate supervisor.
  • Clean all types of blood and body fluids as directed.
  • Clean equipment and work areas as assigned by the Manager.
  • Participate in activities related to ensuring a clean and safe environment.
  • Be knowledgeable of Federal, State, and facility rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Attend in-service educational programs to stay up-to-date on best practices and safety protocols.
  • Follow defined safety codes while performing all duties.
  • Understand the facility's fire and disaster plans; follow established procedures during drills and actual emergencies.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in floor maintenance or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
