Job Title: Shift Manager

At Urbana Country Club, we are seeking a skilled Shift Manager to join our team. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations in our fine dining restaurant, ensuring that our high standards of service and quality are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a Team: Supervise and manage the daily operations of the fine dining restaurant during assigned shifts, ensuring that all members and guests receive outstanding service that exceeds their expectations.
  • Train and Mentor: Train, mentor, and motivate front-of-house staff to deliver top-notch service, focusing on exceptional customer experiences.
  • Coordinate with the Kitchen: Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food service, maintaining a seamless dining experience.
  • Handle Guest Inquiries: Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and courteous manner, resolving issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, ensuring adequate supplies for daily operations, and assist in scheduling and managing staff to maintain optimal staffing levels.
  • Health and Safety: Uphold health, safety, and sanitation standards in compliance with regulations, maintaining a clean and safe environment for guests and staff.
  • Leadership: Lead by example, maintaining a positive and professional demeanor at all times, and collaborate with the management team to implement service improvements and new initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role in a fine dining or upscale restaurant setting.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle high-pressure situations with grace and professionalism.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring seamless daily operations and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of food and beverage service standards, with a focus on delivering exceptional service and quality.
  • Availability: Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
