Manufacturing Quality Engineer

As a Manufacturing Quality Engineer at Apple, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality standards are met in the production of our innovative products. This is a highly visible role that requires a strong understanding of quality engineering principles and a passion for driving excellence in manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate design and processes at the concept phase, ensuring that quality expectations are met and exceeded.
- Develop and implement measurement technologies, control strategies, and manufacturing methods that achieve ambitious specifications at substantial production scale.
- Lead activities to balance unparalleled quality with scalable yields, driving corrective actions and failure analysis efforts as needed.
- Collaborate with internal and external groups to ensure that proper definition of quality expectations and that appropriate assurance techniques are used for the product.
- Coordinate and prioritize all Quality Engineering functions for multiple programs, ensuring that quality standards are met and exceeded.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing and quality control, with a strong understanding of quality engineering principles and practices.
- BS in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Systems Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or similar).
- Experience developing process quality plans, supplier quality audits, and driving corrective actions and failure analysis efforts.
- Working knowledge of mechanical quality and reliability concepts, supplier management, and general manufacturing operations.
- Experience with the development and evaluation of measurement systems, project management, and problem-solving tools including design of experiments, root cause analysis, and statistical analytical tools.
