This role emphasizes collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure exceptional patient care during procedures, maintaining precision and compliance with established protocols to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluates patients' medical histories and current health status to effectively prepare them for cardiac catheterization procedures.
  • Prepares specialized instruments and monitors patients throughout procedures, prioritizing safety and favorable results.
  • Ensures a secure environment by adhering to universal safety protocols and utilizing personal protective equipment to mitigate risks and safeguard the health of patients and staff.
  • Collaborates with the healthcare team, including physicians and technicians, to facilitate seamless and successful procedures.
  • Provides comprehensive patient education and support before, during, and after cardiac catheterization lab procedures.
  • Engages in professional development activities, fulfilling program requirements, participating in ongoing education, and mentoring colleagues to enhance professional growth and clinical expertise, ultimately improving patient care.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

Education: Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing, Hospital Administration, or a related Allied Health field.

Experience:
Licensure/Certification: Required: BLS (CPR) | AHA Health Care Provider BLS. North Carolina Board of Nursing License, RCIS for Cath Lab, RCES or IBHRE for EP, CCRN or RCIS for holding room.
