POSITION SUMMARY


The Supply Chain Manager is tasked with overseeing supply chain operations, which may encompass production scheduling, demand forecasting, material sourcing, inventory oversight, storage solutions, pricing strategies, outsourcing decisions, vendor selection, and distribution logistics.

This role will lead supply chain initiatives to guarantee timely delivery and adherence to budgetary constraints.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops, executes, and continually enhances designated supply chain functions.
  • Creates forecasting models, manages inventory levels, and oversees supplier capacity to ensure optimal and cost-effective product availability.
  • Ensures that departmental staff and support teams are dedicated to the ongoing enhancement of products and processes.
  • Maintains essential records and data related to material programs, including materials resource planning.
  • Fosters alignment by comprehending and conveying customer needs and requirements throughout the organization.
  • Engages in negotiations with suppliers and vendors.
  • Reports on key performance indicators that add value to the organization.
  • Implements the strategic plan for supply chain management, including supplier relations, collaborative partnerships, and cost management.
  • Plans, directs, and coordinates the activities of team members to ensure that objectives are met. Mentors, coaches, trains, and develops a team of individual contributors.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in supply chain or logistics; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years in a leadership capacity (direct or indirect)
  • Occasional travel is required, including potential international travel.
  • Strong analytical, prioritization, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from inception to completion), and planning skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, and reasoning).
  • Solid grasp and application of mathematical concepts.
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as with internal and external clients.
