Occupational Therapist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team at a school in the Northern Houston, TX area.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and diagnoses of occupational therapy needs to ensure students receive the best possible care.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address each student's unique needs and goals.
  • Provide direct therapy to students in individual or group settings, utilizing a variety of techniques and strategies to promote independence and success.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress and ensure a cohesive approach to education and therapy.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient conditions, treatment plans, therapy sessions, and progress to inform future decisions and evaluations.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for student support to ensure students receive the necessary accommodations and services.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to occupational therapy assistants as needed to ensure high-quality care and support.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1+ years of experience in an occupational therapy setting.
  • Previous experience working in a school setting as an OT is preferred.
  • Masters degree in Occupational Therapy required.
  • Full accreditation (OTR) is preferred.
  • Must be in at least the Clinical Fellowship Year.
