Job Title: Cardiology Technician

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Cardiology Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in performing cardiological tests and providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Cardiological Testing:
Perform a range of cardiological tests, including electrocardiograms (EKG), phonocardiograms, echocardiograms, and stress tests, using advanced electronic equipment. Ensure accurate and timely results are recorded and reported to the attending physician.

Patient Comfort & Education:
Provide exceptional patient care by addressing any questions or concerns regarding their tests and procedures. Ensure patients are comfortable and informed throughout the testing process.

Recording & Reporting:
Accurately record test results and consult with the attending physician to schedule any necessary follow-up tests or procedures. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient test results and medical history.

Procedure Assistance:

Assist physicians during non-invasive cardiological procedures by closely monitoring patients' heart rates and alerting the physician to any abnormal readings.


Equipment Maintenance:
Conduct daily cleaning, adjustments, and maintenance of cardiology equipment to ensure optimal functionality and patient safety. Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, reporting any issues to the appropriate supervisors.

Inventory Management:
Maintain inventory levels by recording and restocking supplies as needed, ensuring the storeroom is well-stocked. Ensure accurate and timely ordering of medical supplies and equipment.

Continuous Learning:
Stay updated on the latest cardiological advancements by attending conferences and participating in research initiatives. Apply new knowledge and skills to improve patient care and outcomes.

Requirements:

Educational Background:
Associate's degree in cardiovascular technology or related field.

Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a cardiology technician or related field.

Technical Expertise:
Proficient in the use of cardiological equipment such as EKG machines, and capable of performing routine equipment maintenance. Strong understanding of cardiovascular diseases, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.

Cardiovascular Knowledge:
Strong understanding of cardiovascular diseases, diagnostic procedures, and treatments. Solid knowledge of professional medical standards, policies, and regulatory requirements (federal, state, and local).

Teamwork & Collaboration:
Proven ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and collaborate with healthcare professionals. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide compassionate patient care.

Excellent bedside manner, with strong interpersonal skills to provide compassionate patient care. Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities to ensure the accuracy of test results and equipment functionality.
