Job Summary

SSM Health is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sonography Student Intern to join our team. As a Sonography Student Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in ultrasound services and work closely with our experienced technologists and physicians.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and position patients for ultrasound procedures under direct and indirect supervision.
  • Follow safety standards and perform quality control procedures to ensure accurate and high-quality images.
  • Assist supervising technologists and physicians in a variety of ultrasound procedures, including pelvic, abdominal, small parts, and routine vascular examinations.
  • Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce high-quality images.
  • Record images and relay a clinical impression as indicated.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms.
  • Notify staff members of supply needs, equipment malfunctions, and necessary maintenance.
Requirements
  • Current enrollment in a Sonography program.
  • No prior experience required.
