Job Overview:
Do you enjoy engaging in conversations? Are you the go-to person for friends and family seeking support? Can you maintain composure in high-pressure situations and offer empathetic assistance without bias? If you answered yes, we invite you to consider a role with the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline team.

In this position, you will receive training to perform the following tasks:

1. Assess incoming calls and gather essential information from callers.
2. Conduct evaluations and coordinate suitable interventions as necessary.
3. De-escalate situations with callers experiencing crises over the phone.
4. Formulate realistic and effective safety plans and ensure appropriate follow-up.
5. Familiarize yourself with local community resources.
6. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation.

Work Environment:
This role offers the flexibility of remote work after training, with the expectation of occasional in-office attendance as required. We are looking for candidates who are available to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight hours. Additional compensation is provided for overnight shifts.

Qualifications:
1. High School diploma or equivalent.
2. Ability to pass a background check.
3. Proof of auto liability insurance as per company policies.
4. Valid Montana Driver's License with a clean driving record.
5. Preferred: 1 year of relevant experience in human services.
