Automotive Technician

As an Automotive Technician at Hendrick Chrysler Jeep FIAT, you will be responsible for identifying necessary vehicle service and performing the repair, service, and/or maintenance work. This role requires a thorough knowledge of automotive parts and systems, as well as demonstrable mechanical skills and knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Examine customer vehicles to identify necessary repairs and maintenance.
- Estimate the cost of repairs and perform the necessary work.
- Document services performed and maintain accurate records.
- Follow dealership and manufacturer service guidelines to ensure quality workmanship.
- Request necessary parts and effectively utilize available technologies to enhance customer experience.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to company safety standards.
- Participate in required training and maintain certification as a senior technician with respective manufacturers.
- Meet and/or exceed manufacturer requirements for ASE tests and maintain CSI at or above Company standards.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate Degree or higher preferred.
- Valid Driver's License and State inspection/emissions license required by State.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills to utilize timekeeping system and ability to learn parts department computer inventory and ordering system.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with ability to work with customers and company personnel.
