Job Summary

The Office of Sponsored Programs at the University of North Texas Health Science Center is seeking a Pre-Award Analyst to join our team. This role will provide critical support to researchers in the development and submission of proposals for external funding. The successful candidate will possess excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to researchers on proposal development and submission, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and guidelines.
• Review and interpret proposal guidelines and applicable federal and state statutes and guidelines.
• Identify and document financial commitments of the institution, including cost share or F&A waiver, and ensure appropriate approvals are in place prior to proposal submission.
• Ensure proposal compliance with the RFP, and any applicable regulations, statutes, guidelines, and institutional policy, prior to submission.
• Act as the interface for UNTHSC faculty and administration with all external sponsored project funding sources with regard to proposal submission and review.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of external Federal guidelines/procedures for grants and contracts.
• Proficient in the use of software applications and Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Strong organizational and analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience and working knowledge of grant administration, including federal and state regulations.
