PreAward Analyst

The University of North Texas System is seeking a highly skilled PreAward Analyst to join our team. As a key member of the Office of Sponsored Programs, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and effective submission of sponsored proposals.

Your primary responsibilities will include providing guidance to researchers on proposal development and submission, interpreting and ensuring adherence to applicable regulations, policies, and guidelines. You will also be responsible for reviewing and interpreting proposal guidelines, identifying and documenting financial commitments, and ensuring proposal compliance with RFPs and institutional policies.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent organizational and analytical skills, as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills. Experience in grant administration, including federal and state regulations, is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical assistance to research faculty and staff on proposal development and submission
• Review and interpret proposal guidelines and applicable federal and state statutes and guidelines
• Identify and document financial commitments of the institution
• Ensure proposal compliance with RFPs and institutional policies
• Act as the interface for UNTHSC faculty and administration with external sponsored project funding sources

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of related experience
• Knowledge of external Federal guidelines/procedures for grants and contracts
• Proficient in the use of software applications and Microsoft Office programs
• Strong organizational and analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
