About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Vendor Manager to join our team at USM. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading our vendor management program, building strategic partnerships with vendors, and driving cost and service optimization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain service management and service delivery best practices
  • Contribute to technology strategy and planning, conducting research on emerging vendors and technologies
  • Lead vendor reviews of monthly invoices and service statistics, identifying and resolving service efficiencies to drive cost and service optimization
  • Build and design solutions using service delivery and service management best practices
  • Manage day-to-day operations, plan for strategic improvements, and continuously develop skills required to work in an agile team environment
  • Partner with domain SMEs to analyze features and capabilities required to support DaaS, work with technology leaders to understand business objectives, and align services and vendor product offerings
  • Contribute to the development and growth of the Vendor Management Program, through thought leadership, design, and implementation of processes and the management of SLAs/SLOs
About You

We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, professional training and/or certifications using ITIL, Service Design/Management, and experience with process design and implementation, IT Asset Management, and Service Design and Management. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and collaboration skills, ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language, and demonstrated ability to develop and maintain good customer working relationships.
