Join our team as a Senior Financial Analyst and make a difference

The Senior Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in our financial planning and budgeting initiatives, conduct thorough analyses of financial statements and reports, develop intricate financial models, prepare forecasts, and perform essential research and analysis as directed by leadership. In this role, you will collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights and assist with compliance reporting related to grants. Success in this position requires proficiency in various financial activities, including planning, analysis, budgeting, and reporting. Additionally, you should be adept at presenting financial data and models in a clear and understandable manner.

Key Responsibilities as a Senior Financial Analyst:
  • Evaluate and interpret financial statements and reports.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate financial reports.
  • Support the annual budgeting process.
  • Comprehend essential business drivers.
  • Assess current processes and structures to offer recommendations for ongoing improvement and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to enhance financial management across the organization.
  • Create financial projections and develop financial models with the CFO's guidance.
  • Ensure adherence to financial guidelines, company policies, and applicable legal regulations.
  • Assist in selecting and implementing a new accounting system.
  • Support the preparation of grant budgets for inclusion in proposals for programs/projects in collaboration with the Development team.
  • Facilitate the creation of tailored grant reports for funders, program/project directors, and senior management.
  • Assist the Development team in ensuring accurate financial information related to tracking and reporting of grants/funding.
  • Perform additional grant administration tasks as assigned by the CFO.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial analysis and modeling.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics, Microsoft Navision).
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with databases and data extraction.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in non-profit accounting is a plus, but not mandatory.
