Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of quality surgical care. Your responsibilities will include coordinating with the circulating perioperative nurse during surgical procedures, gathering and preparing sterile supplies, and maintaining the sterile field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and obtain equipment and supplies needed for assigned procedures.
  • Prepare equipment and supplies according to manufacturer's recommendations and specifications.
  • Open sterile packs, instruments, and supplies according to established aseptic techniques and protocols.
  • Monitor the sterile field during procedures and take corrective action if necessary.
  • Prepare medications and solutions for use during procedures under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
  • Maintain accountability for instruments, sponges, and sharps throughout the surgical procedure.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Graduated from a surgical technologist program or 1-year experience in a hospital setting as a surgical technologist.
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery, Certified (TS-C) through the National Board for Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
