Job Responsibilities and Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Radiology Department.
  • Assist physicians during operative procedures.
  • Maintain and review patient records, including documenting tests and examination results.
  • Administer medications as per physician directives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid Florida Registered Nurse license or appropriate compact licensure, with active FL RN license required within 60 days of hire if holding a compact license.
  • Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
  • Prior experience in an acute care environment is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in procedural or interventional radiology nursing is preferred.
  • Familiarity with administering conscious sedation is preferred.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification is preferred, with a requirement to obtain within 6 months of hire/transfer to this position.
  • Strong critical thinking, service excellence, and effective interpersonal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to comprehend written instructions and follow verbal directives, as well as proficiency in PC skills and knowledge of relevant regulations.
