Job Summary:

The Interventional Radiology Technologist is a key member of our medical team, working closely with Interventional Radiologists and Registered Nurses to deliver exceptional patient care. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of interventional radiology procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patients.
  • Operate and maintain complex medical equipment, including fluoroscopic and radiographic devices.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to collect and analyze patient data, identifying priority problems and reporting variances to the radiologist and anesthesiologist.
  • Provide education to patients, families, and other healthcare providers regarding procedures and expected outcomes.
  • Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
  • Manage inventory control for vascular and interventional specific supplies.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited college or school of Radiology Technology or equivalent.
  • Certification and current registration as a radiographer by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Florida State License as a Certified Radiologic Technologist.
  • Certification and current registration in Cardiovascular Interventional Radiographer (CV), Cardiac Interventional Radiographer (CI) or Vascular-Interventional Radiographer (VI) by the ARRT.
  • BLS within one year of hire.
Work Environment:

This role is based in St. Petersburg, FL, and requires a 40-hour workweek with weekday and weekend on-call responsibilities.
