Key Responsibilities- Assist teachers in the development and implementation of lesson plans, ensuring a high-quality educational experience for students.
- Provide individualized support to students, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve academic success.
- Help maintain a safe and organized classroom environment, ensuring that students have the resources they need to learn and thrive.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to develop and implement behavior modification programs, promoting positive behavior and social skills.
- Assist with grading, attendance, and record-keeping, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Participate in professional development opportunities, staying up-to-date on best practices and research-based strategies for supporting student learning.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred.
- Two years of study at an institution of higher education (48 hours of college coursework) or equivalent experience.
- Ability to pass the ParaPro Assessment or the Oklahoma General Education Test (OGET).
This is a temporary/contract position, working 7 hours per day, 174 days per year. The ideal candidate will be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
