At Queensborough National Bank & Trust Co., we are seeking a skilled Mortgage Loan Officer to join our team. As a Mortgage Loan Officer, you will be responsible for originating and servicing mortgage loans, working closely with clients to understand their lending needs and providing expert guidance on mortgage options.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Relationships: Meet with and interview potential and current clients to understand their lending needs, including first-time mortgages and refinances of existing loans.
  • Mortgage Options: Explain the differences between and approval requirements of various types of mortgages, preparing and presenting a lending package based on client specifications.
  • Loan Application: Assist clients with completion of mortgage applications, inspecting completed documents for accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Loan Review: Review loan applications, gather credit histories and reports, and assess applicants' capacity to repay and default risk.
  • Loan Approval: Based on predetermined requirements, assess and grant or reject mortgage applications.
  • Property Visits: View or visit properties for real estate purchases or refinances.
  • Market Knowledge: Maintain knowledge of trends and developments in the local real estate market, current and predicted lending rates, and changes in rules, regulations, and best practices of various mortgages.
  • Business Development: Develop and maintain contacts with local realtors, developers, and builders to promote and encourage the use of bank services for residential mortgages.
  • Loan Origination: Originate investment-quality mortgage loans (FHA, VA, conventional, USDA).
  • Loan Servicing: Service mortgage referrals from banking centers.
