Key Responsibilities

1. Oversee and manage the recruitment process for the designated location, including conducting interviews, extending job offers, and handling employee transitions such as promotions and terminations. Collaborate with external partners, including educational institutions and staffing agencies, to attract qualified candidates.

2. Foster and promote a positive workplace culture among the team.

3. Collaborate with supervisors to conduct employee evaluations at 30, 60, and 90 days, as well as annual reviews, providing input as necessary.

4. Administer timekeeping and absence tracking for all personnel.

5. Maintain records of performance and corrective actions taken at the site, and provide coaching to supervisors on performance management.

6. Actively participate in safety committees and contribute to safety initiatives within the organization.

7. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations by maintaining accurate injury logs and managing injury documentation.

8. Facilitate OSHA training sessions and ensure all employees are informed about safety protocols.

9. Understand and manage FMLA and disability regulations, ensuring proper documentation and compliance for employee leave.

10. Handle sensitive medical information related to workers' compensation and employee records.

11. Provide guidance to management on resolving employee relations issues and maintaining a harmonious workplace.

12. Organize and conduct benefits meetings for employees, ensuring accurate enrollment and understanding of available benefits.

13. Serve as a resource for addressing inquiries related to human resources functions.

14. Participate in compensation analysis and assist in developing wage structures and job descriptions as needed.

15. Oversee the completion of annual performance evaluations for staff.

16. Undertake special projects and additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • To succeed in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform essential duties effectively. The qualifications listed below represent the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities required.
Education and Experience
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field from an accredited institution; or three to four years of relevant experience; or a combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are essential, along with effective interpersonal abilities.
  • Familiarity with HR laws and regulations is required.

  • The capacity to make informed decisions on sensitive and confidential matters is necessary. The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment is essential.

  • Competence in gathering and analyzing data to generate reports and manage complex administrative processes is necessary.

  • Understanding of payroll policies and benefits administration is required.

  • Proficiency in PC applications, including MS Office (Excel and Word), and other HR management systems is necessary.
  • The ability to meet established deadlines and possess strong organizational and analytical skills is required.

  • Skills in developing and implementing both short- and long-term goals are essential. Experience in employee development and performance management is highly valued.

    Compensation: Negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
    Shift: Day shift.
