We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our team at Dickinson County Healthcare System in Iron Mountain, Michigan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the retail pharmacy department to ensure accurate and timely provision of services.
- Manage daily inventory and ordering, as well as third-party reimbursement, charging, and billing processes.
- Follow and enforce department and hospital policies and procedures, with a focus on medication use policies and compliance with Federal and State regulations.
- Continuously evaluate the drug use system to identify improvement opportunities and promote cost-effective patient-specific medication use.
- Monitor patient drug therapy for concerns such as drug interactions, duplicate therapy, allergies, and contraindications, and intervene when necessary to optimize care.
Requirements:
- Bachelor or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.
- Licensed Pharmacist in the State of Michigan and Wisconsin, or licensure eligible.
- Minimum of 2 years retail pharmacy experience in a hospital setting, with preference given to candidates with specialty pharmacy experience.
- Knowledge of third-party reimbursement, charging, and billing processes, as well as exceptional customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and staff simultaneously, and to successfully pass a pre-hire drug screening and background check.
Benefits:
- Starting pay of $49.12-$73.54 per hour based on knowledge and experience.

Schedule:
This is a part-time position with shifts as assigned, and may include participation in the weekend rotation schedule if needed.
