Job Description:

Job Summary:
As a Pharmacy Manager at Walgreens, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacies. You will be responsible for managing a team of pharmacists and technicians, overseeing daily operations, and implementing strategies to improve patient satisfaction and business performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of pharmacists and technicians to provide exceptional patient care and service.
  • Oversee daily pharmacy operations, including inventory management, staffing, and workflow optimization.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.
  • Collaborate with store managers and district leaders to achieve business objectives and improve pharmacy performance.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements, industry trends, and best practices in pharmacy management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
  • Identify and address any operational or performance issues promptly and effectively.


Requirements:

  • BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D Degree from an accredited educational institution.
  • Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
  • At least 1 year pharmacy experience, including prescription filling, recordkeeping, legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems, and insurance billing.
  • Experience performing prescription dispensing activities that demonstrate a strong working knowledge of applicable state and federal controlled substance laws.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
