Coeur Mining, Inc. is seeking a skilled Mobile Maintenance Technician to join its team at the Kensington underground gold mine in Alaska. As a key member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of surface and underground mobile mining equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and repair mobile mining equipment, including drills, bolters, loaders, haul trucks, and support equipment.
- Perform intermediate welding and fabrication tasks.
- Troubleshoot and repair diesel and gas engine issues.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components of mobile mining equipment.
- Conduct pre-shift inspections of work areas and equipment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Certification or degree in Heavy Equipment Mechanical Maintenance preferred.
- Excellent analytical, technical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work safely and promote safe behavior in others.
- Must have own hand tools.
The successful candidate will work in a camp environment at the Kensington Mine site, with a 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off rotational schedule. The role requires frequent exposure to underground work environments, outside weather conditions, and potentially hazardous wildlife.
