Retail Store Operations Manager

Job Overview:
Our Retail Store Operations Manager will be responsible for leading the day-to-day activities of the department operations in a retail store. This includes ensuring that associates are trained, the department is fully staffed, and all company standards are met. The successful candidate will also need to manage inventory, validate received orders, and maintain a clean, attractive, and well-stocked department.
Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management: The Retail Store Operations Manager will be responsible for ordering and maintaining inventory in their department, while utilizing inventory control procedures to ensure product freshness and quality.
- Team Management: This role requires managing a team that completes all stocking, production, and additional tasks to ensure product quality, production planning, accuracy, and date-sensitive rotation.
- Product Knowledge: The successful candidate will need to maintain familiarity with all products carried in the department as well as throughout the store.
- Store Operations: The Retail Store Operations Manager will be responsible for implementing and maintaining work schedules, labor control, overtime control, and payroll expense for the department.
- Department Management: This role requires being responsible for department management, including staffing, training, performance management, and career development of associates.
- Goal Development: The Retail Store Operations Manager will need to develop and monitor department goals, forecasts, and performance indicators.
- Communication: This role requires attending and participating in daily huddles, manager meetings, as well as district and company level meetings via phone, online, or in person.

Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication, bookkeeping skills, good organization, prioritization, decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict management skills. Strong leadership abilities with capability to work in a hands-on environment. Good strategic planning and business acumen skills.
