Meat Clerk

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Meat Clerk to join our team at Harris Teeter. As a Meat Clerk, you will be responsible for processing, packaging, and stocking meat products according to company standards. You will also provide exceptional customer service, maintain a clean and organized work environment, and perform other duties as assigned.

• Meat Processing and Packaging: Process and package meat products according to company standards, ensuring high-quality products for our customers.
• Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
• Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels, receiving and stocking meat products in a timely and efficient manner.
• Work Environment: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to company standards for safety and sanitation.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: One to three months of related experience and/or training preferred.
• Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English. Ability to write simple correspondence in English.
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
