&nspb;:

Your Responsibilities:
Conduct visual inspections of designated construction zones and interpret utility maps to identify underground utility presence, including but not limited to gas, electric, telecommunications, and water lines.

Utilize a laptop or other devices to manage and document excavation notices.

Analyze utility maps to ascertain the type and dimensions of underground utilities.

Effectively communicate with excavators, utility representatives, and company personnel regarding underground facilities using assigned communication tools.

Operate various electronic detection devices to accurately locate and mark underground utilities.

Perform light excavation as necessary to expose buried utilities.

Maintain precise documentation and sketches for all locates completed.

Respond to excavation notices promptly and in accordance with established timelines.

Safely operate company vehicles.

Be prepared to perform manhole entry using the provided equipment and safety devices.

Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age.

Authorized to work in the United States.

Minimum of 6 months experience in underground utility locating.

Prior experience in the Telecommunications or Utility Construction/Maintenance sectors is preferred.

Possess a valid driver's license.

Capable of operating various utility trucks, equipment, and hand tools safely.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.), Google applications, and/or other construction-related software.

Demonstrated ability to follow instructions, produce quality work, and maintain safe working conditions in compliance with all regulations and policies.

Effective communication skills with customers and colleagues.

Able to lift and carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed, with or without assistance.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and on-call duties as required, in all weather conditions.
