Job Summary

The Merchandiser is a key member of our sales team, responsible for pricing and setting customer stores. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pricing and Merchandising: Assist in the training of new merchandisers on how to properly price and set customer shelving.
  • Customer Service: Assist in creating customer store layouts upon request, placing orders via a Telxon unit, arranging delivery to the store, and physically pricing and merchandising the product at the customer's store.
  • Administrative Tasks: Submit proper forms for employee reimbursement, such as travel, auto, gas, per diem, hotel, etc.
  • Event Support: Participate in company annual shows by setting up and tearing down of the convenience store displayed at the show.
  • Inventory Management: Record unsalable merchandise when re-setting customer stores, in order for customer to receive credit.
  • Logistics: Assist when necessary, in delivering and unloading of orders and returns.
  • Supply Chain Management: Assist the Merchandising Manager in maintaining inventory of all merchandising supplies, such as mylar tags, peg hooks, price guns, labels, etc.
Requirements
  • Experience: 6 months - 1 year experience in a related field.
  • Transportation: Reliable vehicle with current auto insurance.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Driver's license with clean driving record.
  • Skills: Self-motivated, self-starter & detail oriented, able to work independently with minimal supervision, strong oral and written communication skills, customer service skills, merchandising and/or retail experience.
