About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our Radiology Team at The University of Vermont Health Network. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of routine, complex, and highly technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative in the application of nonionizing, high-frequency ultrasonic waves to humans for diagnosis of disease.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures using high-frequency ultrasonic waves to produce images of internal organs and tissues.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of ultrasound technology and its applications in medical imaging.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in ultrasound technology and best practices.

Requirements:

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an approved CAHEA/JRCT school of Radiologic Technology or a two-year allied health equivalent.
  • ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) certified and ARRT preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience in vascular, OB, and small part preferred.
