Risk Engineer for Equipment Breakdown Prevention

**Job Summary**

Chubb is seeking a highly skilled Equipment Breakdown Risk Engineer to join our team. As an integral component of our Risk Engineering Department, this professional will operate within the Mid-Atlantic Regional Risk Engineering Service Branch and provide valued-added services to our commercial insurance policy holders.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Perform risk evaluations and assessments to identify potential equipment breakdown risks and develop meaningful loss estimates.
  • Evaluate exposures and controls, and communicate findings to business partners to ensure effective risk management.
  • Conduct boiler and pressure vessel inspections, identify hazardous conditions, and recommend corrective action to ensure compliance with jurisdictional rules.
  • Communicate with customers to explain the impact of recommendations on their business and provide guidance on appropriate courses of action.
  • Investigate claims, evaluate the elements of the accident, and provide risk improvement services to customers to identify exposures with significant loss potential.
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with underwriting and service teams to support business operations.
