Position Information

The Mental Health Tech I provides direct patient care and management of patients with medical and behavioral issues under the supervision of a Clinical Nurse. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing non-professional patient care services, including crisis intervention and therapeutic interactions
  • Managing patient behavior and ensuring a safe and supportive environment
  • Collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 1 year of clinical experience in a related field
  • 1 year of experience in mental health, preferred
  • A high school diploma or equivalent, or college courses in nursing or a related field
  • Nurse Aide I certification, required
  • Crisis Prevention Institute certification, preferred

Work Schedule

This is a varied hours position, with weekend and call requirements as needed.
