Job Summary

Midsouth Paving, Inc., a leading supplier of quality asphalt and construction services in the Southeastern U.S., seeks a highly skilled Asphalt Paver Operator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the control and operation of our asphalt paving machine, ensuring the highest quality products and services on every project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate asphalt paver machine, rubber-tired or track-type, to spread and level asphaltic concrete on sub-grade of highways and related surfaces.
  • Manipulate hand or foot levers to control movements of paving machine, regulate width of screed, and perform minor servicing and maintenance.
  • Thoroughly understand all aspects of the paving industry, including preparatory work, grades, drainage, paving patterns, aggregate size, job specifications, oil consistencies, compaction, and other details related to asphalt paving.
  • Collaborate with our team to ensure efficient working conditions of equipment and maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Three years of actual asphalt paver operation experience.
  • Topcon 5 Electronics experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Physical demands include standing, walking, reaching, and lifting up to 30 pounds.
