About the Role:This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. As a Case Manager/Child Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing child safety and risk, conducting interviews and gathering information, and making in-and-out of home contacts with families and children.
Key Responsibilities:- Respond to reported allegations of child abuse and/or neglect
- Assess child safety and risk
- Conduct interviews and gather information
- Make in-and-out of home contacts with families and children
- Attend Court hearings
- Prepare case plans and conduct case plan staffing
- Author professional reports and fill out documentation
- Coordinate and monitor services
- Place children, transport children, and move a child's possessions when needed
- Manage cases throughout the respective county and assigned area
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree from an accredited college or university
- Four (4) years of experience as a DCS Case Aide
- Department of Public Safety Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Valid driver's license

In an effort to better serve our communities, DCS offers a Bi-Lingual Stipend to all interested and eligible DCS Employees who successfully complete a language proficiency exam. Qualifying employees will receive a $500 annual stipend paid in equal increments.
Retirement:All Child Safety Specialist positions participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS). Enrollment eligibility becomes effective after 27 weeks of state employment.
