Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Flight Paramedic to join our team at Mercy. As a Flight Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing critical care to patients in emergency situations, working closely with flight nurses to ensure the highest level of patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide emergency medical care to patients in critical situations, utilizing advanced life support skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with flight nurses to assess patient needs and develop effective care plans.
  • Operate medical equipment, including cardiac monitors, ventilators, and infusion pumps, to provide life-saving interventions.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in emergency medicine.
Requirements
  • Current paramedic license in the state of operation.
  • Advanced life support certifications, including BLS, ACLS, PALS, and ITLS or PHTLS.
  • At least three years of experience in ALS care, with demonstrated expertise in critical care.
  • FP-C or CCP-C certifications required for Paramedics conducting critical care transports.
  • Ability to lift heavy loads, work in various climate conditions, and adapt to changing environments.
