Your Role: Behavioral Aide

Behavioral Aides, also known as behavior intervention paraprofessionals or interventionists, work under the supervision of teachers to support students with behavioral challenges.

We are seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional to join our team.

Responsibilities
  • Providing supplemental instruction to individual students or small groups
  • Monitoring student behavior and communication, redirecting inappropriate behaviors, and administering behavior intervention programs
  • Helping students build social skills and foster healthy concepts
  • Assisting teachers in developing and using materials to enhance learning
  • Preparing, typing, duplicating, and filing instructional materials, maintaining student records, and sending and receiving emails
  • Participating in the Problem-Solving Model-Response to Intervention (PSM-RtI) process to help determine intervention plans and Individualized Education Program (IEP) services
  • Attending team and parent meetings and providing input on student strengths and weaknesses
Requirements
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required
  • An individual who is at least eighteen 18 years of age
  • Can demonstrate the knowledge, have the skills needed to support the program to which they are assigned
  • Meet the paraprofessional requirements as defined in IDAPA , Rules Governing Uniformity
Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organizations facilities.
