Job Summary

Vallen is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Storeroom Attendant to join our team. As a Storeroom Attendant, you will be responsible for receiving, stocking, and issuing inventory to meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Unload and receive incoming products, goods, tools, and equipment, and accurately sort, label, and store items.
  • Issue products, goods, tools, and equipment to site employees, and maintain accurate records for issued and returned items.
  • Enter data into a database or other computerized system to maintain up-to-date stock records, and retrieve stored information to respond to inquiries.
  • Request requisitions to replenish inventory, and assist with inventory level maintenance, including performing cycle counts and preparing report results.
  • Inspect and measure tools and equipment for defects, wear, and tear, and report damage or wear to supervisors.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, coupled with 3+ months of relevant experience and/or training.
  • Loading, unloading, picking, packing, or moving goods in a warehouse environment, with forklift/cherry picker experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, work orders, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Basic computer knowledge and proficiency, with preferred technical skills including MS-Office products, Vista, Control, SX.e, and Prophet 21.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work in a team environment and be self-motivated to accomplish assigned tasks and goals.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work environment may not be temperature controlled, and must be able to work in extreme hot or cold environments.
  • Must be able to work in dusty conditions, and may be required to handle hazardous materials and wear various forms of protective equipment.
  • May be required to pass forklift and/or other warehouse equipment certifications, and assigned work shifts may vary and/or rotate.
  • Overtime may be required, and extended day, evening, and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
