Job Type: Full-Time, 3-6 month contract
Job Overview: The Electronic Component Assembler plays a crucial role in the assembly of electronic parts, subassemblies, products, or systems, ensuring adherence to quality benchmarks and IPC J-STD-001 certification standards. The successful candidate will possess soldering expertise, component placement skills, and a meticulous attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assemble electronic components and products in accordance with specifications and schematics.
2. Execute soldering tasks following IPC J-STD-001 standards.
3. Inspect and test finished products to confirm they meet quality and performance criteria.
4. Identify and resolve defects or issues in assemblies.
5. Utilize hand tools and machinery for assembling parts and products.
6. Maintain a tidy and organized workspace.
7. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines.
8. Document assembly procedures and keep accurate records of work completed.
9. Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to ensure projects are completed on schedule.
10. Continuously enhance assembly techniques and processes for improved efficiency and quality.
Qualifications:
1. IPC J-STD-001 certification is mandatory.
2. High school diploma or equivalent is required.
3. Demonstrated experience as an electronic assembler or in a similar capacity.
4. Proficient in soldering and handling electronic components.
5. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.
6. Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
7. Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
8. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
9. Strong problem-solving abilities and troubleshooting skills.
10. Effective communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
1. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
2. Manual dexterity to manage small components.
3. Capability to lift and move up to [weight] pounds.
Compensation: $20 - $35 an hour
