Our client is a leading independent producer in the renewable energy sector, boasting a diverse and expanding portfolio of global assets. They are involved in the development, acquisition, ownership, and operation of all their renewable energy ventures.
Job Overview
The Renewable Energy Project Manager will be tasked with:
- Identifying, initiating, and pursuing new business ventures.
- Overseeing and executing the development of large-scale renewable energy projects from inception to commercial operation date (COD).
- Collaborating with engineering teams and external consultants to assess site configurations and limitations, technology alternatives, scheduling impacts, interconnection applications, and studies.
- Leading and conducting due diligence on projects and portfolio acquisitions in the development phase, including the comparison and prioritization of various opportunities based on shared siting, permitting, interconnection, power marketing, and other project metrics.
- Managing external stakeholders involved in environmental assessment processes.
- Coordinating with external stakeholders on property and sales tax abatement initiatives.
- Occasionally overseeing permitting activities with assistance from team members.
- Preparing project budgets, timelines, and responses to requests for proposals (RFPs).
Ideal Candidate Profile
The successful Renewable Energy Project Manager will possess:
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in the renewable energy sector with comprehensive project development experience.
- Direct involvement in large-scale solar, storage, or wind projects.
- Experience in land development, including landowner engagement, negotiation/contracting, title resolution, and agricultural land use/water restrictions.
- Understanding of governmental regulations, environmental laws, or market signals that influence or facilitate the development of renewable projects.
- A bachelor's degree is mandatory.
- We welcome applications from candidates with experience in smaller-scale projects who believe they can contribute effectively.
The Renewable Energy Project Manager will be eligible for:
$120,000 - $140,000 base salary
Annual performance bonuses
