Job Description:

TotalMed Allied is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to work as a Traveling Sonographer in McAllen, Texas. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound examinations and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform ultrasound examinations using various modalities, including echocardiography and vascular ultrasound
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety
  • Develop and implement patient care plans, taking into account individual needs and medical histories
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and departmental efficiency

Requirements:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
  • Current ARDMS certification in echocardiography and vascular ultrasound
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in diagnostic imaging, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to travel to various locations, with flexibility to work varying shifts and schedules
