Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Support Specialist to join our team at New Story Schools In-District Services (IDS). As a Behavioral Support Specialist, you will work closely with BCBA's to implement individualized treatment plans and behavior intervention strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized treatment plans and behavior intervention strategies under the supervision of a BCBA.
  • Accurately collect and record data on client progress while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Manage client records and documentation, ensuring compliance with medical standards and proper use of medical terminology.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to support clients' behavioral and developmental needs.
  • Engage in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your expertise in behavior management and therapeutic techniques.

Qualifications

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A genuine passion for working with children, along with patience and compassion.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with children with special needs or autism through volunteer work, employment, or other relevant experiences.
