Position Overview

As a Skilled Maintenance Technician at Ascent Multifamily Solutions, you will be responsible for a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring the safety and functionality of various systems and equipment within our apartment communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform minor repairs, such as fixing broken locks, patching walls, and addressing other common issues.
  • Inspect and troubleshoot electrical wiring, plumbing fixtures, HVAC systems, and appliances to identify and resolve problems.
  • Complete regular maintenance tasks, including preventative checks and cleaning of equipment and systems.
  • Effectively manage projects, prioritize tasks, and allocate time efficiently to ensure timely completion of work orders.
  • Communicate clearly with residents, property managers, and other team members regarding repair status, progress updates, and any necessary follow-up actions.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed work, materials used, and time spent on each task.
Ideal Candidate Skills:

We are seeking a skilled and versatile technician with experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Carpentry: Framing, door and window installation, finish carpentry, base/crown molding, cabinet layout and installation.
  • Electrical: Relocating receptacles and switches, installing fixtures, troubleshooting electrical circuits.
  • Plumbing: Rough-in and finish plumbing, installing tubs, shower valves, drains, relocating pipes, knowledge of PEX pipe, installing toilets and new plumbing fixtures.
  • HVAC: Basic understanding of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, including troubleshooting common issues.
  • Drywall: Hanging, taping, repairing, and texturing drywall.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications preferred.
  • Proven experience in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or related trades.
  • Strong project management and time management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Commitment to safety protocols and practices.
