Job Summary

We are seeking an Electronics Engineer to join our Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Practice in Natick, MA. As an Electronics Engineer, you will work with a team of experts to design and develop innovative solutions to complex technical problems. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from consumer products to electrical and electronics systems, and will be responsible for performing engineering analyses, designing and testing systems, and authoring technical reports.

Responsibilities
  • Perform engineering analyses related to ongoing Exponent work in the fields of failure analysis of consumer products, fire origin and cause, product design and intellectual property
  • Assist on projects involving the design and failure of electrical and electronics systems, including circuit and PCB design, power supplies, power distribution systems, batteries and power management
  • Design and perform tests and critically assess results
  • Author technical reports and technical proposals
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Power and Energy Engineering, Physics, or other related discipline
  • Technical background in semiconductor design and fabrication, analog or digital circuit design, embedded systems, or computer hardware and architecture
  • Experience with at least one common programming language such as Python, C/C++, Java, MATLAB, or similar
  • Strong lab-based experimental and research ability
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, and ability to work independently or in multidisciplinary teams
