About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Floater Teacher Assistant to join our team at United Counseling Services. As a key member of our early childhood education team, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and engaging environment for children to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Classroom Support: Assist classroom teachers with daily operations, providing breaks, coverage for meetings, and support with beginning and end of the day cleaning.
  • Child Supervision: Supervise children's play activities, help with individual and group activities, and observe and report child behavior to teachers.
  • Facility Maintenance: Contribute to classroom and facility maintenance, including cleaning, tidying, and organizing common areas.
  • Documentation: Ensure accurate documentation, including meeting Office of Head Start and Child Care Licensing Regulations for paperwork standards.
  • Bus Monitoring: Assist children to their seats, supervise during transportation, and engage children with activities.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification: Valid Child Development Associate Certification (CDA) or Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education (AA) or be enrolled in a program leading to a CDA or AA within 2 years of employment start date.
  • Driver's License: Valid Driver's License.
