Nurse Practitioner

Virginia Jobs is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in a correctional setting. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide professional nursing services, healthcare, and treatment to offenders in an adult correctional institution.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess offenders' health problems and needs
Prepare and administer prescribed medications
Initiate emergency interventions and first aid measures
Assist physician in providing medical care
Develop and implement medical/nursing guidelines
Maintain medical records
Requirements:
Possess and maintain a valid unrestricted Virginia RN license
Certified Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers with current certification through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
Experience in a correctional setting preferred
