Melton Truck Lines is seeking a highly skilled Claims Adjuster to join our team. As a Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for handling cargo and auto claims from inception to settlement. This is a challenging and fast-paced role that requires strong analytical and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Investigate and analyze claims to determine liability and evaluate damages
- Negotiate settlements with claimants and insurance companies
- Manage and prioritize multiple claims simultaneously
- Communicate effectively with customers, claimants, drivers, and internal departments
- Use industry knowledge and experience to determine reserves and pursue subrogation claims
- Produce and distribute daily claims reports and analytical reports as requested
- Active Claims Adjuster license
- Minimum years of claims experience
- Familiarity with software programs such as Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and Innovative (AS)
- Strong written and verbal communication and listening skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and multi-tasking environment
