About the Role

The Assistant Civil/Structural Engineer will work under the supervision of a licensed professional engineer to assist project teams in creating world-class designs for new projects, alterations, and redevelopments on a variety of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist project teams in designing and analyzing structures for utility infrastructure, including electrical substations, pipelines, and EV charging stations.
  • Design and analyze rigid bus systems to assess the structural capacity of insulators and stress and deflection in the aluminum bus.
  • Design oil containment systems for electrical equipment.
  • Modify and review production drawings for various projects.
  • Research and compile project-related data as required.
  • Assist in preparing studies and design reports.
  • Communicate with design teams for specific project requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Basic knowledge of standard civil engineering techniques, principles, and procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and civil analysis programs.
  • Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.

Compensation
