Job Title: Licensed Vocational Nurse

Location: Remote

Duration: 6 to 9 Weeks contract with potential to conversion

Job Description:

This is an onsite role with multiple locations across the US.

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) assists in providing clinical services in a unique retail setting. Under the supervision of a MinuteClinic Nurse Practitioner, the LPN will assist with greeting patients, taking vitals, completes accurate patient documentation via computerized charting, as well as duties such as supply ordering, inventory, and weekly patient logs.

Responsibilities:
  1. Provide holistic, evidenced-based care inclusive of accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of health problems, health counseling, and disposition planning for our patients.
  2. Administer immunizations and injections (to include but not limited to COVID-19, influenza, TB) and provides evidence-based patient/parent vaccine counseling and education.
  3. Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection services.
  4. Assess patients during intake.
  5. Take vital signs.
  6. Perform diagnostic tests such as EKG, Retinopathy screening.
  7. Perform Point of care testing (including COVID testing).
  8. Perform patient registration and intake, assist with wait room management and other responsibilities to enhance the patient experience.
  9. Order equipment and prepare the clinic for the best patient experience.
  10. Help meet our mission to help people on their path to better health by providing excellent patient-focused connections and activities.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of one-year related work experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience documenting within an Electronic Medical Record.
  • Ability to take vital signs, perform phlebotomy blood draws, and perform Point of Care Testing.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including but not limited to performing CPR and operating an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
  • Pass a FIT test and wear the provided respirator mask when protocol is required.
