Electrical Engineer Job Description

At Smith Seckman Reid, we are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement electrical design concepts and approaches for projects.
  • Perform engineering studies and analyses using industry software.
  • Oversee the preparation of drawings and ensure accuracy and neatness of work.
  • Evaluate the work of design colleagues and provide feedback and/or corrections.
  • Attend meetings with clients and architects as needed.
  • Coordinate with local authorities and utilities to incorporate construction, code, and government requirements.
  • Assist with the development of the overall man-hour budget and be responsible for the man-hour budget within the discipline.
  • Provide input, feedback, and updates on project schedules.
  • Responsible for performing studies, load calculations, and selection of equipment appropriate to the project design.
  • Responsible for coordinating equipment and overall design space requirements with the architect and other disciplines.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited college with four years applicable experience in discipline design and analysis.
  • Registered Professional Engineer.
  • Revit experience a must.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Knowledge of engineering theories and methodologies.
